The Story Behind Hadley + Bloom

Hi, I’m AJ.

I’m the person behind Hadley + Bloom — and the person who will research something for three hours because I had one question, turn a random idea into a whole production, and probably give you more context than you asked for.

I love a life that feels lived. The trips we almost didn’t take. Concerts and late nights. Places we found by accident. Making ordinary things a little more special. Trying something new and figuring it out as I go.

and Hadley is right in the middle of all of it.

Becoming her mom didn’t make me want a smaller life. If anything, it made me much more intentional about the one I’m building.

I want to be there for it. The big adventures, obviously, but especially the regular days that would be easy to miss. I don’t want to build my life around somebody else’s schedule and realize later that I traded away the part I cared about most.

So I’m building something different.

Hadley + Bloom is where my real life and my creative work get to exist in the same place.

I’ve always shared things as I’m living them. Where we went. What was actually worth it. Something I found and immediately needed everyone else to know about. An opinion you may or may not have asked for. The occasional hard thing when I think telling the truth about it could matter to someone else.

And approximately 900 photos and videos of my kid because I am, in fact, completely obsessed with her.

I’m not interested in making any of it look more perfect than it is.

I’d rather bring you along.

It’s motherhood without disappearing into motherhood. A life with room for faith, creativity, curiosity, big ideas, beautiful things, hard seasons, really good stories, and whatever we haven’t thought of yet.
